Jennifer Aniston in Vogue

Jennifer Aniston’s December “Vogue” cover.  Jennifer talks about Brad and very openly about Angelina Jolie. She also speaks about her relationship with John Mayer among other things. Here’s a glimpse!

* On what Angelina has said: “There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening. I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss. That stuff about how she couldn’t wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool.”

* On speaking terms with Brad: “A few very kind hellos . . . and congratulations on your babies.”

* On the relationship with Mayer: “People need to mind their own business! Did you ever think Claudia Schiffer and David Copperfield made sense? Love just shows up.”

* On John openly discussing their breakup: “Trust me, you’ll never see that happen again from that man.”

Glamour Magazine held their 2008 Women of the Year Awards last night at New York City’s Carnegie Hall. Politics and Glamour filled the red carpet this year but the talk was all about this country’s new President-Elect “Barack Obama.”

Some of the beautiful stars and political figures in attendance were: Nicole kidman with hubby Keith Urban , Natalie Portman, Kate Bosworth, Fergie, America Ferrera, Taylor Swift, Tayra Banks, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Secretary of State ‘Condoleezza Rice’, Jane Karkoski and former First Lady ‘Hillary Clinton.’

A thunderous applause as Senator Hillary Clinton took the Carnegie Hall stage. Clinton joked she was “very grateful to Glamour … because they always liked my pantsuits.”  The first female presidential candidate also spoke seriously about the need for the ceremony, which puts the spotlight on extraordinary and inspirational women making a difference in today’s global community.

Honoree Nicole Kidman was recognized for her fundamental role as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNIFEM, which combats violence against women worldwide. She thanked her husband Keith and said: three years ago I had a wonderful career. I was getting movie offers. I had an Oscar. I had beautiful children. But there was something missing; I wasn’t loved.  A man came along and said, ‘Let me take you to Tennessee.’ There he told me, ‘You deserve to be loved. Let me love you.’ And I did.  So thank you, Keith.”

Presenter Debra Messing was well prepared before bestowing an award on Jane Goodall for her Lifetime Achievement award. “I know a lot about monkeys,” Messing deadpanned to The News about the revolutionary primatologist.  “I have a son. He’s a monkey.” Goodall confessed she hadn’t seen any of Messing’s work because “I’m on the road 300 days a year. I don’t have time for movies or TV. I’m always busy writing a book or making a film.”

Tayra Banks was intimidated by Secretary Rice.  The talk show host said, she was most skittish around Rice and “Hillary Clinton. I speak publicly every day. No script, no anything. And I asked if there would be a teleprompter tonight because [Clinton and Rice] are going to be there. Whenever there’s politics involved, I get nervous,” the Emmy-winner laughed.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice told the Daily News she’s looking forward to moving on from her office. “I want to go back to California, and I want to write a book on foreign policy and a book about my parents.

Glamour Editor in Chief Cindy Leive said how the list of honorees is compiled. “We have a great advisory board made up of past winners. It’s almost 200 women strong, and they nominate people and then vote. Ten candidates rise to the top, and we look for a range in fields, so this isn’t just about Hollywood entertainers. It’s across the board,” the host said.

“We look for courage and optimism,” Leive continued. “We look for people who don’t just point to what the worlds problems are, but are doing something to change it. We look for women who haven’t just made the world better for themselves but for everybody else, and opened doors for other women. That’s something that all of our women tonight have.”

Daniel Craig

The excitement is building up for the new Bond movie 007 Quantum of Solance out in theaters everywhere this weekend. According to “Quantum of Solace” co-producer Michael G. Wilson,  Daniel Craig is the “greatest Bond.”

Craig who’s back in his role as the British spy for a second time in the new movie - has eclipsed all of his predecessors, including Pierce Brosnan and Sir Sean Connery, with his portrayal of 007.

Wilson said to the British radio station Heart FM: “He is the greatest Bond right now and the people love him. “Wilson also confirmed Craig will definitely be returning to the role for a third time and revealed work will start on the next movie in early 2009.

He said: “Last time when we were in post production on ‘Casino Royale’ we were already working on ‘Quantum of Solace. ”This time we haven’t started, but in January we are going to get some writers together and start kicking some ideas around.”

Long-running Bond producer Barbara Broccoli hopes 40-year-old Craig will continue as the secret agent for years to come. She said: “He’s got to come back, we’re not going to let him go.”

HE MUST BE REALLY GOOD IN THIS FILM! WE’LL SEE!!!

Taylor Swift

Country girl Taylor Swift made a stop yesterday at the Late Show with David Letterman. The 18 yrs. old singer gracefully posed for photos outside the Ed Sullivan Theater.

She’s out promoting her new album “Fearless” in shelfs everywhere today, November 11th. Taylor writes about “Fearless” to her fans and this is what she had to say:

“I’ve been wanting you to hear these new songs since the very moment of their creation. Every single song has a face attached. They’re all about people. Some even mention names. But most importantly, these songs tell my stories.”

She continues on: “These songs tell stories about fairytale romances, and how sometimes they don’t work out the way you dream about when you’re a little girl. Because when we’re young, we dream about Romeo and Prince Charming- and hope he’ll ride up on a white horse and rescue us.

But sometimes the white horse shows up too late, after the prince has already let you down and left your dreams out in the rain. I never read a fairy tale with that ending. I guess that’s the hard part about living in reality.”

SOUNDS A BIT DEPRESSING!
