At the 2008 Grammy Awards, Amy was nominated for six prizes, had her name called five times, most notably winning Record of the Year and Song of the Year for performing and writing ‘Rehab.’ 

But,  since then…  ”The I’m No Good” songstress, Amy Winehouse, has hit a few bumpy roads on her singing career. With a string of cancelled shows and performances and recently kicked off the Quincy Jones tribute album!

According to reports;  Amy, is not ready to go “Back To Black”  or  retirement, just yet. She recently signed with the London-based clothing label PPQ, who’s also worked with Peaches Geldof, to work as a designer.

Well, hold on to your seats! Amy Winehouse will be designing a capsule collection this fall with Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker!

Molyneaux said, “Yes there have been talks with Amy and we are now in the first stages of the project. The range will be all about high-end statement pieces, inspired by Amy’s style. For example, maybe a dress or an amazing piece of jewelery like a bracelet. It’s going to be distributed online, we are going to be providing all materials and doing the design, but Amy will definitely be involved in the creative process.”

SADLY LITTLE EXODUS DIDN’T MAKE  IT AND DIED YESTERDAY MORNING, MAY 26TH. HERE’S A SNIP REPORT FROM AP:

PHOENIX (AP) — The 4-year-old daughter of boxer Mike Tyson died at a hospital Tuesday, a day after her neck apparently got caught in a treadmill cord at her Phoenix home, police said.

Exodus Tyson was pronounced dead just before noon, police Sgt. Andy Hill said. She had been on life support and police have said their investigation showed her injury on Monday was a “tragic accident.”

“There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus,” the family said in a statement. “We ask you now to please respect our need at this very difficult time for privacy to grieve and try to help each other heal.”

Police said Exodus either slipped or put her head in the loop of a cord hanging under the console. Her 7-year-old brother found her and told their mother. She took Exodus off the cord, called 911 and tried to revive her.

Responding officers and firefighters performed CPR as they took the girl to the hospital.

Dinka Radic, who lives across the street, said Exodus would ask her if she had any chocolate. When Radic gave her some, Exodus would hug the woman’s knees and “kiss, kiss, kiss.”

“She’d say ‘hi’ to everybody. She was really friendly,” said Abdul Khalik, 53, who lives next door.

He said Exodus rode her bicycle in the neighborhood and often played with his two children and his niece. He said his 14-year-old daughter had cried all day after hearing of Exodus’ death.

The neighborhood contrasts starkly with the lavish lifestyle Tyson had through his tumultuous years of boxing, when he spent tens of millions of dollars and says he had millions more stolen from him by unscrupulous associates. During two years at the height of his career, he earned $140 million.

The death of his child in such an unusual accident adds an awful chapter to the boxer’s troubled life. Read full story.

THIS IS REALLY A TRAGEDY! VERY SAD! ACCORDING TO MTV.com:

The 4-year-old daughter of former heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson was critically injured on Monday in what police said was a tragic accident at home. According to Fox News, Exodus Tyson was found by her 7-year-old brother hanging from the cord of a treadmill. At press time was reported to be in “extremely” critical condition and on life support at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

The toddler was reportedly playing near the exercise equipment in the family’s Phoenix home while her mother was elsewhere in the house cleaning on Monday morning. When her mother sent the boy to look for Exodus, he found her tangled in the cord. He alerted the mother, who immediately called 911 and began performing CPR.

“Somehow the little girl got something caught across her throat, she became unresponsive, the boy went and got the mother, and the mother came out and found the child,” Phoenix Police Sgt. Andy Hill told the Phoenix Fox affiliate.

Tyson, who has been promoting a documentary about his life for the past month, “Tyson,” was in Las Vegas at the time of the accident and reportedly flew home immediately upon receiving word of it.

Police are calling the mishap a “tragic accident.” A police spokesperson told Fox News that there was “nothing in the investigation that revealed anything suspicious.”

OUR PRAYERS FOR LITTLE EXODUS AND HER FAMILY!

The ho-tel heiress Paris-ite and her boyfriend Doug Reinhardt, baseball player boyfriend and star of MTV’s The Hills, have been all over Cannes. From showing up at the Maybach Poker Night at the Eden Roc hotel in Antibes, attending the premiere of Inglorious Bastards, to hitting up all the hottest parties including… holding a cocktail event in celebration of her new ‘Paris, Not France’ documentary, based on the socialite’s life, that will premiere on MTV this July.

But, their celebration didn’t end as well as it started. Once again… Paris-ite and Doug took things a bit too far. First the slobbering socialites’ public lip-locking went xxx as they  humped it up at the Vip Room where other club-goers said they looked like they were actually having intercourse.  (Believe me when I tell you… you have to go along way to go too far at the VIP Room… This Diva parties as well and loves to dance the night away at the VIP Room in St. Tropez).

Then came the piece-de-la-resistance…  The coupled couple was actually kicked off of a yacht as their groping continued on the deck of a private party on a yacht…. and heated up until the ship’s captain caught them in the act…

Here’s how it all went down:

Elton John’s husband, “David Furnish met Paris at the Hotel du Cap and invited her to a party on his friend’s yacht,” a source said. “As soon as Paris arrived she had her tongue down Doug’s throat. Everyone kept saying how inappropriate they were being but Paris didn’t care who was looking…They got so worked up she dragged Doug below deck so they could have some private time. But as they were closing the cubicle door so they could tear into each other, they were caught out,” the source added.

“David spotted them and the captain was furious. He kicked them off for unsociable behavior.”  “Everyone congratulated the captain.”

The couple has been photographed frequently since they started dating, walking every red carpet together, attending any party “du jour” and usually kissing.

Not good enough? Too clean for the “Paris-ite” and boyfriend Drug ”Doug”? Apparently so!

Just this weekend, the two got ‘down and dirty’ publicly at a nightclub in Cannes.

People were staring, shooting photos and laughing at them. They were so into each other that, club party-ers were wondering if they were actually having sex.

The two must have been on some kind of drug for realz!

Clay Aiken sets the record straight on his harsh words to Adam Lambert.

Aiken wrote the following:

“I’ll be the first to admit that my opinion is just that, only my opinion, but for as much as some of the bloggers seem to dislike me and care so little about my thoughts, they sure can waste a lot of their space on what I say! If only many of them took the time to pay attention to important things like the US economy and the welfare of the world’s children.

But… nah… I could blog about that type of stuff anytime and most wouldn’t think twice, but let me say something that they can pick and choose quotes and misinterpret me… and it’s showtime! I never assumed my opinion mattered so much! I guess I may have been wrong.

That said, since my previous blog got dissected like a biology lab frog, i suppose I should clarify and even retract some of what I wrote. I am sure that some were upset by my choice of words describing my opinion of a performance I heard from Adam Lambert. I hope no one actually believed that blood truly poured forth from my ears when I heard him. I obviously meant it as a colorful statement to imply that I did not enjoy what I heard.

Any performer hopes that their music will appeal to all people, but no singer realistically expects it to. God knows, I am SURE there are PLENTY of people who can’t stand to hear me sing either. I wouldn’t dream of assuming that, and I am sure that far worse things have been said about my performances than I would even venture to type here.

To me, that’s fine. I don’t expect unanimous, nor even majority support for my music. But, my guess is Adam doesn’t either. I would not venture to make judgements [sic] on the personality or demeanor of anyone I don’t know, so none of what I said in my previous blog was directed as a ’slam’ on Adam as a person. At the same time, I wouldn’t dream of slamming him as an entertainer. He does what he does, because he enjoys it, and he obviously has many fans who enjoy it as well.

If what I said in my previous blog regarding my impression of a single performance from Adam upset or offended any of his fans, I expect that the mature ones will realize that it was simply a poorly worded metaphor describing my personal tastes. The only person I would really dream of apologizing to is Adam. And the irony is, if he’s smart he couldn’t give a crap what I think of his ‘Ring of Fire’ performance.

As an entertainer, Adam knows that one person’s opinion of one performance really matters a little less than zero, in the grand scheme of things. He could not have gotten on Idol (nor made it as far as he did) without an immense amount of talent. He surely doesn’t need my approval to know he has a gift. At the same time, he realizes that amazing talent doesn’t always equal universal appeal. (I could NEVER have the amount of skill and talent that ballet dancers have! that’s talent! But, I don’t particularly enjoy it!)

I am sure that I will have plenty of opportunities in the coming years to hear Adam sing. I imagine he’ll be around for years to come. But in the meantime, I definitely don’t want to stoop to the level of so many negative freaks on the internet… so, I do apologize to Adam for my colorful (and negative) choice of words. I hope he can forgive me. I imagine he doesn’t give a damn! God knows he shouldn’t.”

No! It’s not an illusion! There were two Criss Angels at the Venetian Thursday afternoon.

The real Criss Angel was at the Madame Tussauds’museum to unveil his wax statue on Thursday May 21st. Seated in the front row were Angel’s big supporters, his mother, Dimitra Sarantakos, brothers Costa and J.D. Sarantakos, fellow Luxor headliner, Carrot Top, and Luxor president and COO, Felix Rappaport.

“If you look really quick and you turned away, you’d swear to God that that was me,” he said after a careful inspection of the figure.

The figure was designed to recreate the illusion Angel performed for an episode of his A&E show, “Mindfreak,” where he appeared to levitate himself up into the light above the Luxor.

“It was the premiere episode of Season 3,” Angel said before suggesting that the illusion is one of the most “iconic” of his career. The wax statue, which cost about $300,000 to create, is dressed in the same clothes the magician wore when he filmed the “Luxor Light” episode.

Criss explains the wardrobe and abs on the wax figure, the illusionist said:

“This shirt is the actual one I wore,” he said as he remarked on the sleeveless, black Affliction vest. The mannequin’s six-pack abs are true-to-life, thanks to the demands of his Cirque du Soleil show, “Believe.”

“It’s an incredibly demanding, physical show and I had to get into this shape to be able to do that show,” he said, gesturing at his statue’s torso. “I don’t have to work out. That show is my three-hour workout, five days a week,” he said. “I can pretty much eat whatever I want … because of the three-hour aerobic session I have every night.”

The 40 yrs.old said:  Madame Tussauds’ decision to immortalize him in wax was an honor. “It’s quite an honor bestowed upon me and they just did an amazing, amazing job!

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen and NFL quarterback Tom Brady were married earlier this year in two wedding ceremonies. The gorgeous couple first wed in Santa Monica, California in February, followed by a second ceremony in Costa Rica just in April.

Now rumors are flying that the couple told friends they are expecting their first child. Tom already has a soon-to-be 2-yr-old son Jack with ex-girlfriend model/actress Bridget Moynahan, which has been the cause of some controversy.

In February, Gisele’s expansive remarks to Vanity Fair, in which she said she considered young John Edward her very own child, created a flurry of response among the media and Bridget’s friends. Here’s what the “Brady Bundchen” said:

“It’s not like because somebody else delivered him, that’s not my child,” said the supermodel, 28. “I love him the same way as if he were mine. I already feel like he’s my son, from the first day.”

As Natalie Cole, the daughter of the late Grammy Award-winner ‘Nat King Cole’ who’s suffering from kidney disease, sat comforting her dying sister, Carol “Cookie” Cole, she got a frantic call from doctors saying that a kidney from a 22-year-old patient had become available and that she could receive a life-saving transplant immediately.

Natalie who was battling hepatitis C from a past drug addiction and needed kidney dialysis three times a week, did not want to leave the bed side of her cancer stricken sister ‘Cookie’, when she got the phone call that could save her life.

Nat’s other sister, Timolin Cole, tells the New York Post, “She said, ‘What do you mean? I can’t deal with that right now! I’m here with my dying sister!’ ” But the doctor insisted that Natalie be at Cedars Sinai hospital within two hours.

“This is all so surreal, and it is devastating,” Natalie’s younger sister, Timolin Cole, told Page Six yesterday, ”Our sister Cookie hadn’t been to a doctor in 30 years, and last week she went in and they found a cancerous spot on her lung. They had wanted to start chemo right away, but Cookie said no.”

Carol Cole “Cookie” died during Natalie’s surgery. Natalie’s rep called the family’s life-and-death ordeal ” a tragic coincidence.”
