I don’t know how much longer I’ll be there. ”“I’ve been doing a travel channel show,” she adds, “so to be honest, I’m not even there that much at the moment anyway.”

SJP worked the phones for the Presidential Election last night October 30th. With just a few days left to Super Tuesday Sarah Jessica Parker was just one of the many celebrities involved in support of a candidate.

SJP headed to the Obama Headquarters in New York City to take a turn at the phone bank, completing a three hour shift, contacting undecided voters to encourage them to vote for Barack Obama.

In case you missed it! Saturday Night Life “Amy Poehler” and her husband Will Arnett welcomed their first son last Saturday, October 25 th. The couple named their new baby Archie Arnett who weighed in at 8lbs., 1oz.

On the NBC live sketch comedy show, fellow cast mate Seth Meyers sat at the Weekend Update desk and announced, “I’m Seth Meyers. Amy Poehler is not here because she is having a baby.” 

The Update segment ended with SNL alum Maya Rudolph — who had returned to play Michelle Obama, wife to Sen. Barack Obama — singing Can’t Take My Eyes off of You with Keenan Thompson, replacing the lyrics “Oh pretty baby” with “We love you, Amy” in tribute to the new mom.

Poehler manned the anchor desk Oct. 18 and performed a rather memorable Alaska rap. as Governor Sarah Palin moved to the rhythm with her hands up. She had success earlier in the year in the big-screen Baby Mama with former SNL cast mate Tina Fey. Poehler has said that she won’t return to SNL once her maternity leave is done.

Julia Roberts has turned 41 on Tuesday and ruled out appearing in a sequel to her hit movie “Pretty Woman. The actress has no intention of reprising her role as prostitute Vivian Ward in a follow-up to the hugely popular film, because she thinks she is too old.

When sked whether she would ever consider reuniting with former co-star Richard Gere for a sequel, Julia replied: “I don’t think so! No one wants to see an old hooker, do they?” Or did she really mean that she’s not interested in pairing up again with super tacky, Richard Gere???

Julia celebrated her birthday early on Monday night in San Francisco restaurant Jardiniere, accompanied by husband Danny Moder and celebrity pals including Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Bruce Willis, Sean Penn, Robin Wright Penn, Billy Crystal and Jack Nicholson. 

Diners inside the exclusive eatery reported the star-studded table sang “Happy Birthday” to Julia and to Rita, who turned 52 on October 26. She was in San Francisco to pay tribute to late actor Paul Newman with a reading at The World Of Nick Adams event earlier that evening.

ISN’T FOURTY THE NEW THIRTY’S? 

Sasha Fierce formerly known as Beyonce Knowles is playing the legendary blues singer Etta James in Darnell Martin’s  film “Cadillac Records.” She’ll also serve as one of the movie’s executive producers. 

The film follows the life of Chicago-based record-company executive Leonard Chess who ran the legendary company with his brother Phill, through the 1950s and 60s. Chess will be played by Oscar-winner Adrien Brody.

This is the first role for Beyonce since her turn as Deena Jones in the musical “Dreamgirls.” As Jones, the now Mrs. Jay Z. earned two Golden Globe nominations, for Best Actress in a Motion Picture and Best Original Song.

This time Beyoncé  Sasha will have some big shoes to fill as the real-life Etta James. The gutsy and full-figured legend belted out many standout blues and jazz tracks, including “At Last,” which she was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame for in 1999. 

Etta has long been a revered figure among female singers. Christina Aguilera has called James her idol and doted on her in interviews. In 2006, as part of InStylemagazine’s pairing of singers and their musical mentors. 

But for the role she had to put on an extra 15 pounds and didn’t mind at all. She says,  ‘It was way easier – and tastier – than having to lose so much weight for Dreamgirls. ’It’s always more enjoyable to get paid to eat. “Cadillac Records” is in theaters everywhere December 5th.

I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE IT! 

Chicago police on Wednesday found a handgun near within a block of where Hudson’s 7-year-old nephew, Julian King, was found dead in an SUV on Monday morning. Aerial footage of the scene by Chicago TV station WLS showed an investigator putting a pistol in a box. 

A police spokesman said testing was needed to confirm whether the weapon was connected to the Hudson case. Julian’s body was found in an abandoned Chevrolet Suburban on Chicago’s West Side on Monday morning. A massive search for the boy started on Friday, the day Hudson’s mother, Darnell Donerson, and brother, Jason Hudson, were found shot to death in their South Side Chicago home.

All three victims died from multiple gunshot wounds, authorities said. There were 50 police academy recruits who were searching parts of the city for possible evidence in the case, Deputy Chief Nick Roti said. The recruit spotted the weapon in the thick shrubbery of a vacant alley around the corner from where the sport-utility vehicle was found, Roti said. 

The site where the SUV was found has turned into a makeshift memorial for Julian, Roti said. Stuffed animals and balloons were there Wednesday night.

With “Posh” no where in sight at the Staple Center. David Beckham enjoyed checking out the cheerleaders at the LA Lakers game. It is rumored that David will be leaving the LA Galaxy for the European AC Milan team.

Meanwhile, he has sworn to never to hit the big screen. He tells GQ magazine, “What film career? I haven’t got one. Never say never, except about that! And that’s the way it’s going to stay.” 

Katie Holmes and little Suri Cruise enjoyed the afternoon in Central Park. The Dawson’s Creek babe, 29, and her two-year-old child walked and play. We all know Katie is a great mom.

Why was she so bundled up and little Suri not??? Katie is so devoted to her daughter, that they spend every moment together, while Katie’s not on stage for the hottest ticket in town, Broadway’s Arthur Milers’ “All My Sons.”
