Heath Ledger died unexpectedly while filming BATMANS “Dark Knight” The Imaginarium of Dr Parmassus. Ledger had not updated his Will after his daughters birth, leaving Matilda Ledger’s claim to her father’s fortune unknown, but the three actors who have completed the late star’s final film role have helped guarantee the little girl’s financial security.

Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell have shown their respect for the Australian actor who died too young and donated their sizeable earnings from the film, The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus, to Heath Ledger’s three-year-old daughter Matilda.

While footage of Ledger was used in the film, Depp, Law and Farrell also played versions of his character Tim in Terry Gilliam’s fantasy epic - made possible because the story crosses from London to parallel worlds.

“The three actors were totally heroic coming in,” Gilliam said. ”This doesn’t happen very often … where there’s a tragedy like this, and very famous, very successful actors suddenly say, ‘OK, we’ll do whatever it takes to help.’

“They came, they allowed the movie to be finished and they didn’t take money — it goes to Heath’s daughter. ”That’s extraordinary and wonderful … and we’ve got a movie full of wonderful people who did extraordinary things to help.”

WHAT AN INCREDIBLE THING TO DO BY THESE ACTORS! DON’T YOU THINK?
