The “King of Pop” whom wishes to be “Peter Pan” has turned 50 on Friday, August 29th. Celebrating in low key Michael’s planned to eat cake and watch cartoons with his children. 

Unlike “Madonna” who recently celebrated tuning 50 in a big way and is now touring around the world for her new album. Michael has been in semi-recluse since his embarrassing 2005 trial and acquittal on child sex abuse. 

McCain announced on Friday Governor, Sarah Palin as his choice for Vice President of the United States. 

Brad Pitt attended a dinner gala on Wednesday, August 27th at the Westin Excelsior in Venice, Italy.

He’s in Venice, premiering his new film “Burn After Reading” at the Venice International Film Festival.  Brad, was presented with the best actor trophy which he won last year for his role in “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford”.

“I guess you forgot something here years ago,” the mistress of ceremonies at the Venice International Film Festival said as she held up the gold cup honoring Pitt, adding, “Brad, this is yours.”

“You can run but you can’t hide,” Pitt jokingly replied. “It was an honor to receive this last year and it’s an honor to receive it this year. Thank you very much.”

Victoria and David have lashed out at reports stating they had been involved in a “terrifying car crash” - insisting the incident never happened!!!! The couple were visiting their home in the village of Bargemon, close to the French Riviera, last week, when David was due to fly to Beijing, China to take part in the Olympics closing ceremony on Sunday.

Reports… that on their way to Nice airport to catch the flight to China, the pair was involved in a horrific crash - which left their black BMW with a smashed windscreen and extensive damage along the passenger side. Those reports:  ARE NOT TRUE!  As well, as, reports that David left the diva “Posh” at the scene of the crash severley shaken.

Beckhams’ spokesperson, Cheryl Maisel, has denied the crash ever happened.  She says, “There was no car crash. David and Victoria Beckham were driving a car that had been scratched the day before when it had been left parked at the airport - they were not involved in any accident at all.  ”There was no police, no crash, no paparazzi chase, etc. - just very incorrect reports via Internet gossip sites.”

Gwen Stefani gave birth to a new baby-boy on Thursday, August 21st. The No Doubt singer named her newborn “ZUMA NESTA ROCK ROSSDALLE” Yeap , “Zuma Nesta Rock” Sounds like an energy drink! Don’t you think?

Wondering if they chose Zuma after the beautiful Zuma Beach in Malibu?  The name “Nesta” is reggae singer, Bob Marley’s real name. In May of 2006 the couple named their first born-son “Kingston”.  After the Capitol of Jamaica??? 

Gwen delivered Zuma, via C-section at Cedars Sinai Center in L.A. Of course! The singer and her new little tiger are doing well and were discharged earlier today from the hospital.

Tila Tequila’s girlfriend Courtenay Semel attacked a hotel security guard last night in Las Vegas after partying.

The spoiled 28-year-old daughter of former Yahoo! CEO Terry Semel and star of E!’s Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive was cited to pay a fine or face a Las Vegas court judge, for hitting a Caesars Palace security guard on the back of the head. 

She left her cell phone at Caesars Palace’s Pure Nightclub after a party hosted by Best of Vegas. com at Palazzo Las Vegas’s Sushi Samba. 

When she went back to get it, the club had closed. Courteneay demanded that they find the phone and then attacked the employee by hitting him on the back of the head.

She was not arrested but detained at Caesars Palace’s security office until the cops arrived. 

MONEY GOT HER OFF THIS TIME!!! 

Ricky Martin 36 has become a Babydaddy for the first time - and through a surrogate mother. A la Clay Aiken style of course. The “She Bang” singer has not come out of the closet yet. We’re all waiting!!!  

The Latin-American Puerto Rican singer, whose real name is “Enrique Martín Morales” released a statement earlier today confirming he is the father of twin baby boys “delivered via gestational surrogacy” some weeks ago.

The statement on Ricky’s official site read:   “Ricky Martin became a proud father by the birth of twin sons,”  ”The children, delivered via gestational surrogacy, are healthy and already under Ricky’s full-time care.”

“Ricky is elated to begin this new chapter in his life as a parent and will be spending the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children.”

Nothing is known of the twins’ mother or the names of the singer’s new babies.  And we all know why!  I’m so sure he’s selling the story or sold it already!!!  Not that he needs money!

He funds his own children’s charity, the Ricky Martin Foundation, and is the Goodwill Ambassador to Unicef.

Finally! Comedian and talk show host ‘Ellen DeGeneres’ and her fiancé actress ‘Portia de Rossi’ have said their I do’s.  It was a done deal on Saturday (August 16) when they tied the knot at  their Los Angeles home.

Ellen had announced her plans to marry her sweetheart on “The Ellen DeGenere’s” show just a few months ago. 

Ellen addressed her fans on her show’s website, saying:  “I had a big weekend, I got married to Portia de Rossi!   Sorry, John Stamos … this one’s taken.”

“I do a lot of things differently now … I say, ‘I do’ a lot. For example: Who wants to do pilates? I do. Would you like a Mountain Dew? I do. Do you know why I pulled you over? I do. And that was just this morning.”

Adding: “You may notice something different about the way I’m writing … it’s fancy. This is the font I type in now that I’m MARRIED” - pointing out the cursive–script style of her message.

She went on to happily say:  “The wedding was everything we hoped it would be. I wish I could’ve invited all of you. But I have some pictures and video I can show you when Season 6 starts on September 8th. I can’t wait to see them too … it was all a blur.”

Hollywood actor, Matt Damon 37, and his Argentinean wife Luciana Barroso 32, welcomed their 2nd baby on Wednesday. The proud parents named their healthy baby girl Gia Zavala Damon.  Matt and Luciana live happily in Miami with their first born Isabella, 2, and Luciana’s daughter from a previous relationship, 10-year old Alexia.

Damon met Luciana in a Miami night club where she worked in 2003, when he was filming the movie “Stuck on You.” The couple later married in December of 2005.  On learning that he was expecting another daughter, the actor joked of his home in Miami: “I’m so outnumbered down here, it’s crazy.”  

The actor - holder of People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive title of 2007 - an honor previously bestowed upon Damon’s pals George Clooney and Brad Pitt, has recently gained 20 to 30 pounds for his new role as an FBI informant in “The Informant,” out on March 27, 2009. In this upcoming dark comedy thriller film, a true story, directed by Steven Soderbergh, Damon portrays a top Archer Daniels Midland executive, Mark Whitacre, who works as an informant for the FBI.

His next film is Green Zone which is a thriller that takes place in the Green Zone in Iraq during its occupation by the United States. Written and directed by the United 93 and Bourne Ultimatum director Paul Greengrass, the film is based on the 2006 book Imperial Life in the Emerald City by journalist Rajiv Chandrasekaran.
