SHARON STONE’S CHINA AFTERSHOCK!

A deadly earthquake hit China’s southwest Sichuan provence on May 12. with almost 88,000 people missing or dead, its estimated that nearly 70,000 people have been killed. Last Friday at the Cannes Film Festival, Sharon Stone left everyone around the world feeling an aftershock by saying; she thought it was “Karma” the reason chinese people got hit with the earthquake.
Sharon Stone said to a TV reporter. “I am not happy about the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans,” she said, when asked about her Buddhist faith. “Then I have been concerned about ‘how shall we deal with the Olympics?’ because they are not being nice to the Dalai Lama, who is a good friend of mine. And then this earthquake and all this stuff happened and I thought, ‘Is that karma, when you’re not nice that the bad things happen to you?’”
The Chinese didn’t take her comments very well & are boycotting her and her films in their Cinemas. Sharon has 3 upcoming movies in production at the moment to hit theaters. But, one thing for sure is that they won’t be playing in China. Guess she didn’t use basic instincts on this one… for insulting a Country with several billion people.
Stone says; “My erroneous words and deeds angered and saddened the Chinese people, and I sincerely apologise for this. I’m willing to participate in any earthquake relief activity and to do my outmost to help Chinese people affected by this tragedy.”
Stone looses her modeling campaign with Dior’s cosmetics, displayed at numerous cosmetic counters in China. The Beijing Times reported that yesterday many department stores had already started to take down any advertising bearing the actress.
Christian Dior published the following; “In light of the negative reaction that Sharon Stone’s inappropriate remarks have triggered, Dior China has decided to immediately cancel and stop any advertisements, marketing campaigns and commercial activities associated with Sharon Stone. We don’t agree with her hasty, unreflecting remarks and we deeply regret them.We just want our customers and fans to realize that her personal comments are not related to the company and of course we don’t support any type of commentary that will hurt the feelings of our customers.
“Dior was one of the first international brands to enter China and has won the affection and respect of the consuming public. We absolutely do not support any remark that hurts the Chinese people’s feelings. We express our sorrow over the compatriots who lost their lives in the earthquake in Wenchuan, Sichuan, and we extend our sympathy and condolences to the people in the disaster area.” I THINK SH’E S AN IDIOT & I ALSO THINK SHE WAS DRUNK!!!

Do not underestimate Sharon’s background in Chinese history. To wit:
*Mao, world’s No. 4 killer to date, died weeks after 1976 Tun-San big quake [240k death]. Even Mao’s followers called that a “bad karma”!
*During the past 2,500 years, many emperors died or dynasties overturned soon after major natural disasters occurred in China.
What Sharon worries about is that the totalitarian regime of PRC may collapse together with those schools in quake zone by the time Mr. Hu can raise his hand and shout “Let the Games Begin!”–another karma since 1976!
In fact Sharon also wants to know:
[1] Why those newer schools collapsed worse than the older privately-owned buildings in the same area?
[2] Why most of PRC govt. officials’ kids studying abroad full-time without jobs drive the most expensive European cars to schools?
Where the money came from?; &
[3] Can PRC really become world’s first-class nation soon while the common practice of taking kickbacks/bribery by govt. officials go on as usual & unchecked?
