Britney’s parents have won round one in the tug of war with Sam Lutfi, her assistant her lives in her home. We’re told the doctors at UCLA are now “fully cooperating” with the parents in the treatment of Britney Spears, but the war is not officially won until a judge signs an order as to who will be given control.

Earlier this morning, Jamie, Britney’s father and Lynne Spears, Britney’s mother were told they will not be calling the shots in making medical decisions on behalf of Britney. It was Sam Lutfi on the driver’s seat. The doctors at UCLA were working with Lutfi and not the parents, lawyers were called in and the tension in the air was thick. Jamie was heard screaming at Sam & accusing him of trying to control his daughter’s mind. Britney has been a mess since Sam moved in!

Apparently, last time Britney was committed into the hospital she had her lawyers draft paperwork making it clear she didn’t want her parents making any medical decisions on her behalf. Her father reportedly had screamed & even pushed around Sam Lufti in front of her after Britney made it clear she wanted Lutfi to make those decisions. OMG!!!!! KrazZzzineSss!!!! Ahhhh

Props were given to LA PD’s “SMART Unit” which specializes in mental health cases for handling Sam who was told to leave and was seen exiting the hospital before 4:00 A.M.

Britney was rushed to hospital again in an ambulance in the early hours of the morning, for the second time this month, according to celebrity gossip website TMZ.

Brit was taken to UCLA Medical Center at about 1.30am California time and was to be placed on a 5150 hold, the involuntary confinement of a person deemed to be a danger to themselves or others. The ambulance carrying the Pop Star, was escorted to the hospital by more than a dozen motorcycle officers, two police cruisers and two police helicopters.

The Los Angeles Police was contacted by a psychiatrist treating the singer. Britney has been in an increasingly fragile mental state since she filed for divorce from her husband, Kevin Federline, in November 2006. The divorce went through in July of 2007.

She has lost custody of her children, and an attempt to restart her performing career at the MTV awards in Las Vegas in September was critically panned, although a recent album - her first in four years - was well-received.

Paparazzi photographers have snapped her in a succession of bizarre antics, including shaving off all her hair and attacking a car with an umbrella.

Earlier this month Britney was wheeled out of her home on a stretcher following a stand-off which began when she reportedly refused to release her two children - Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1 - to ex-husband Kevin Federline’s bodyguard.

SHOOTING for Michelle Williams’ new film, Blue Valentine, has apparently been put on hold while she comes to grips with the shock death of her former fiance Heath Ledger.

“We will hold off until she is ready,” a source connected to the film told People.com. “The production is in the process of sorting it out in respect to her.”

Blue Valentine is a drama centered on a young couple struggling with their marriage, and stars the actress with Ryan Gosling. Williams was due to marry Ledger before their relationship broke down last year.

Gwen Stephani’s father in-law, Douglas Rossdale confirmed to People magazine that Gwen & Gavin are expecting their second child. Rossdale Senior reportedly said, “They and the whole family are delighted,” The Sun a British tabloid newspaper reported, that the singer is 13 weeks pregnant. Stefani, 38, and Rossdale, 40, are the parents of Kingston Rossdale, who will turn 2 in May.

“He is a great lad,” Rossdale said, according to People. “And we are very much looking forward to another grandchild.”

Rihanna lost out on the album award, but her popular dance track ‘Don’t Stop the Music’ was named International Song of the Year at France’s most famous music awards ceremony.

‘SexyBack’ singer Justin Timberlake won International Male Artist of the Year, while Canadian star Avril Lavigne was crowned International Female Artist of the Year.

Amy Winehouse, who was nominated for International Revelation of the Year and International Album of the Year, was due to perform at the star-studded ceremony but was forced to pull out after entering rehab for drug addiction last week.

Lebanese-born ‘Grace Kelly’ singer Mika, who wore a shocking pink jacket to the ceremony, picked up the International Revelation of the Year.

Michael Jackson, Celine Dion and Kylie Minogue all received the NRJ Award of Honour for their contribution to music.
